This show is absolutely a terrible example of the parenting!! I would LIKE to think folks can do so much better. No one ever teaches the children how to calm down, quiet down, and interact in a civil manner.I do think Kate might spend less time washing the kitchen floor three times a day and more time calming the screamers.

God bless any mother and father with that many kids and still being sane...my problem i have with the show and sometimes i have to change the channelis because of Kate...she treats Jon sooooo bad, i couldnt do it, she acts like she has it soooo bad all the time and she has always having help with everything she does...she treats Jon like dog and i mean dog...its horrible...im a stay at home dad(me and my wife decided for her to keep working because she had a more steady and better income) we have two children ones three and the other will be a year in a month and it can be tough with just two..they are very strong to do what they are doing...not sure if i could do what they do....but on a serrious note here...Kate needs to back off Jon a bit....i can see he is getting tired of it and sometime or another he will get pushed to far then lookout Kate the real fun will begin then.

You have seen the way she treats him....christmas shopping for one...she told him to take of the kids while she pays ...so he was doing just that then she tells him to stop acting like a child...he was just doing what he was told...like most males do...lol...true story...ask any of us...what ever happens to these two its gonna all be HER fault....

Just saw episode about shopping for beds. Cannot believe the way these kids were allowed to jump on beds, throw things, etc. I have seen groups of over twenty pre-school children on field trips who were better behaved! Whats wrong with Kate and Jon? If they can't make kids behave, they should get a sitter. Why were kids taken anyway, Kate made all the decisions (after several changes of her mind).

Yep, agree with you totally. I just wonder what she is like when she isn't on "good behavior" for the TV Camera. She may think she is doing those kids a favor by letting them "choose" their own beds. After all was said and done, she chose the beds (about three different times). I'll bet the sales person was glad to see them leave---kids should not be allowed to jump on beds and throw things from displays. Jon seems like he is only there to do Kate's "dirty work". I wait for the day when he says "enough".

How can you blame her (kate) for not being happy all the time. She has 6 kids under 3 and 2 more! I have one baby and sometimes I feel like going nuts.
I dont think unless you are in her situation can you really put her down

Default cutest couple

I think they are just the cutest couple. I see love and respect for each other. Let's face it they have a hard wonderful challenge raising all those babies.Kate is so concerned about each and every one of them. It was probably easier for her to do double shift's on Saturday's as a nurse. I think he is a wonderful man,who is concerned about his family and how she appear's to be bossy.YOU have to be a bit of a control freak or the whole thing doesn't work. God bless you both and thank you for letting us into your lives.

The few times I've tried watching it, I'm always struck by how sullen and quiet the dad is. Maybe I'm not being fair not seeing more of it, but is he always so moody and unhappy looking?
