What did you want to know.

One or two guys we hung out with - when we were kids and cruised Clearfield on Friday and Saturday nights were from Morrisdale.

Basically there is nothing there.

You have to go to Clearfield or Phillipsburgh to get grocery's other then the stuff you can buy at the little restaraunt / store at the top of the hill along 322 and 970 at the Woodland exit of I 80.

There is a couple of little gas stations and used car lot's and a drive in theater along RT 322 and not much else.

Superman is right, there isn't much there. On route 53 is a convenience store, in addition to the other things that were posted. Taxes are low, as is most of the county. Any real shopping is a good twenty or thirty minute drive in any direction. No real industries there. Fairly quiet area, except for the usual speeders, ATVs, etc.

One thing to look at is if there is natural gas - in that area.

I know for certain that there is no natural gas for home use down in Coalport and that you either have to heat your home with coal or wood or propane or home heating oil down there and it is not that far down the road from Morrisdale.

The same is true with downtown Clearfield. I knew lot's of people who heated with propane and coal and very few that had natural gas supplied to their homes , even though a natural gas pipeline runs right through the place, doesn't mean that they let the city / town tap into it.

You save a couple of dollars on the taxes and then spend it on heating your home in the form of higher cost to heat because the natural gas is the most affordable way to heat your home.
