There was a cross buring in Juniata County in the 90s, but I don't think it was positively connected to some version of the KKK.

I don't think most prosecuted hate crimes these days are committed by folks wearing robes and hoods.

Has anybody had these encounters with members of the KKK in central PA?
Yeah if you go closer to Boyertown you will see more. Also my mom was afraid to wear an Obama shirt at Jake's Flea Market. The Klucks Klan leader goes there and walks around.

Several years ago West Chester PA once hosted a Klan walk because the officials could not stop it after several court appearances. The Klan walked through the center of town and it was disgusting. How can real people feel that way about their fellow human being?

As far as the Obama "T" shirt is concerned I would not wear a "T" with anything he has said, stands for or wearing a "T" with his picture to promote anything. Being of color is great but one who says things and does other things is just not ethical. What about Michelle O. having 24 aids? What about Michell O. going to a lunch that costs taxpayers $4,000 then not pay it and jump back on the jet to DC....?

There is a ton of data that the press tells the people and most of it is garbage but when it comes to our elected officials, I think it must be at least half accurate. What do you think?

My question to you is how many of you were listening to Johnboy and Billy on Friday?

For those of you who does not know who Johnboy and Billy are - here is a little bio - The Big Show

Basically they are a bunch of hicks down in Charlotte North Carolina who loves fried chicken and redneck trash and NASCAR. They usually interview the winner of the previous weekends race on Monday mornings.

They did a little skit on Friday about the 3 little kids who saved Obama's life.

Barack Obama was out jogging one morning along the parkway when he tripped, fell over the bridge railing and landed in the creek below.
Before the Secret Service guys could get to him, 3 kids who were fishing pulled him out of the water. He was so grateful he offered the kids whatever they wanted.
The first kid said, ‘I want to go to Disneyland ‘ Barack said, ‘No
problem, I’ll take you there on my special airplane.
The second kid said, ‘I want a new pair of Nike Air Jordan shoes.
Barack said, ‘I’ll get them for you and even have Michael Jordan sign
them!’
The third kid said, ‘I want one of those vans with the lift that raises and lowers the wheel chair, and a motorized wheelchair with a built in TV
and stereo headset! and a ramp in front of my house’

Barack was a little perplexed by this and said, ‘But you don’t look like
you’re handicapped
The kid said, ‘I know, but I will be after my dad finds out who I saved from drowning!’

We do have some KKK groups. They're hush hush but you hear about them if you live here long enough.

For many years every Saturday the KKK would have people in the streets of Boyertown passing out leaflets and recruiting new members. I am not certain if they still do it or not. However, PA is alive and well with KKK and rednecks flying the Confederate battle flag.

Boyertown is not central PA it is SE PA about 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

I lived in central PA for the first 14 years of my life and never encountered anything even remotely like that. Granted, I was a child for most of it but I'm pretty sure I would remember stuff like that!

I don't think the friend is "weird". He experienced hate while he was here doing a good thing and he was disturbed by it and so he should be. I know there are alot of closed minds in the counties and the natives don't like outsiders at all. I've seen the reactions and heard the comments from people when they see a dark skinned person in town. There have been reports of skinheads in Lititz and Ephrata as well.

You see a lot of people everyday in a SPECIFIC environment. It's not like the KKK is going to be rallying at a health care facility.

Just sayin'.
