Default Colleges

I'm considering going back to school.. Since I just moved here I am hoping I can get some advice on schools.. I currently live in Wyomissing and I'm doing some research on colleges. Not sure what I am going to be majoring in as of yet, so I know this is kind of vague but if anyone knows of good colleges that I could look into that are in my area (I don't want to drive further than 45min) I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Unfortunately, a flower has to bloom where it is planted.

When you decided where you were going to live, you did not leave a lot of options as to were you wanted to go to school or what you want to major in.

Schools are great - for some people. I have been to a lot of them, and it never helped me to get a job.

Right now the push is on to go to school, no matter what level of intelligence a person has or what field a person wishes to pursue.

I did not look at your profile, so I do not know if you are male or female.

My advice on College is to attend Pitt, Penn State, Gannon, Carnegie Mellon University - those schools all have a good reputation for putting out intelligent people and will help you in the long run - if you wish to make more money.

If all you want to do is go to school, my advice would be to attend Lock Haven, Clarion, Slippery Rock, Edinboro, CCAC - Community College of Allegheny County, CMU..

The last place I would send a child of mine is where I went to school IUP.

Forgive me for errors in spelling, but spell check does not work on this computer.

Albright College in Reading is having an Open House on Saturday(11/14).

It might be slightly out of your time range for travel but consider Millersville in Lancaster. It may take you close to an hour to get there depending on traffic on Routes 222 & 30 but it may be worth a look. My wife took graduate courses there last summer and was very impressed. Good luck with your search.

How about Lebanon Valley? Lebanon Valley College or York College http://www.ycp.edu/library/? York is a nice private college that offers merit aid to B students. There are 235 colleges in Pennsylvania, you might want to narrow your choices by more then geography! I would suggest you get out a map of PA and figure out what towns are within your 45 minute radius and then draw a circle with your home as the center-point. This link might help, although it looks a little awkward to use - Pennsylvania Colleges | Page 1 | College Map I'm guessing that the closest PA state school would be Kutztown. Not knowing your desires, affordability or stats (GPA, SAT scores), I'm not sure how else to help you.
