SARGGON is on a distinguished road
Default Commuting to LI or NY.

Just wondering..........

Besides being close to many ammenities near home, there are people from LI and NY that don't want to live in the poconos because of the long commute to work. They like the idea of getting away from the city and congested areas, and high taxes. I guess I will also add the peoples republic of NJ to the list. What I like to know from people is , is it worth it, to make the move to PA up to 2 hours or so away from work for commuting.
When you consider paying more for property taxes, and other taxes and housing prices outside of PA is it worth it. A toyota prius takes 60 or so miles per gal wouldn't this be practical for commuting to offset costs??? I think for workers in NY, LI or NJ, it can pay ecomomically. The money that you save on some of what I mentioned above can be put towards lowering the mortgage cost significantly on a lowered priced home, add significantly to compound interest as well over the years, or perhaps enabling some to retire as much as 5 years earlier because of savings. Of course there is a sacrifice to be made to enable yourself to get ahead like this, as the saying goes no pain no gain. I'm leaving this open for others to comment about this and how they view the commute. Is it worth it or not??? Do others think of it solely on an economic basis???
