inspiringmind is on a distinguished road
I lived in Florida for 8 years...not by my choice, my mom and dad moved and I was 12 at the time. But as soon as I could I moved. I hate the humidity and heat, the hurricanes, the high price of everything. I would never live somewhere where it doesn't snow again.

I live on Long Island now and it rally is a nightmare with the taxes and the energy costs. Where in NY did you live? Some how I think that Pa will be our choice!
We were in South Ozone Park near Kennedy Airport and Aquaduct Race Track.
We honeymooned in Cove Haven and fell in love with PA! When I was young my family used to take us to Lancaster and Dutch Wonderland and also Hershey. My DH and I fell in love with Tunkhannock. It's not far from Cove Haven! It's about 45 minutes to the west of Lakeville and Hawley. We also went to Paradise Stream but our hearts drew us back to Cove Haven. We are forever lovers there and know the social director personally.
PA is a wonderful place. Don't let anybody scare you away either. The rumor is that the New Yorkers are destroying the Monroe County area of PA.
I can't stand to hear New York and Jersey people gettting a bad rap all the time. I for one love a nice quaint town, a slow pace and a clean safe enviornment. It is crowded in the Monroe County area because alot of the people came and bought up the LTS cookie cutter homes that were build and placed in communities all over the county. Yes, with such a big influx of people you will have problems but if people open their eyes and do something about it now, that area could be saved.
