Talking thinking of relocating...

Hello! PA or NJ. We're in the beginning process of thinking of relocating and don't know which way to go. We have lived in Brooklyn NY all of our lives and it just isn't working out anymore, too much change. My husband still has to commute to NYC, we have three children 16, 8, and 5. Into a lot of different activities sports, music, dance, etc... We're looking (i'm sure everyone is) for a town where we can ride our bikes outside play tag and stick ball, invite our neighbors to bbq's, where neighbors are friendly and say good morning. Too much to ask for? Thank you in advance for your time.

Well how much can you afford to pay for a home? Many commuter buses to NYC in Monroe County. You should really take some time and visit areas/homes to see what neighborhood you like. How long is the commute to work now? Be prepared to commute over 2 hours each trip...so thats over 4 hours on the bus +bad weather + accidents +buses breaking down+ So being that you have no idea...I suggest....maybe over the summer when kids are out, you rent a home for a week and try the commute and get a feel for the poconos.
