Cool Working in washingtonville

My husband and I will be moving to PA in August. I know Washingtonville is too small to live in. Can you recommend any of the nearby towns? We will be there for 2 years, so we are interested in buying a home to sell when we leave. We like nice, clean, safe, amenities. Also would there be any areas with acreage (20+) that we could subdivide for other homes? Thanks so much!

A quick search of this site shows Washingtonville to be smack dab in the middle of nowhere...

Riverside looks bigger and has a decent education base (something that may or may not be important to you). Over 13% have a graduate degree.

Danville is an area to avoid...I used to work for a bank and we had a branch there. It is very "country."

Espy and Lightstreet also look like they have some promise (based solely on numbers from this site).

Here's another newspaper link which might include Washingtonville, or at least Watsontown and Turbotville:

Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Hmm, I remember posting the website for the Bloomsburg Press-Enterprise but perhaps it was in a different thread. That's why I added this post to this string, after doing a search for Washingtonville, but this seems to be the wrong place. Anyway, hopefully the right person will see this.
