Default Shoemakersville, PA

Hi all, We're looking to move to the Berks County area, and saw a cute house in Shoemakersville and one in Sinking Spring. We'd like a nice area, good schools, and easy to-get-to shopping, recreation. Any advice??

Default Shoey

I live near Shoemakersville and it is a nice area. The people are friendly for the most part and the schools are not overly crowded with students. There is not much to do in the direct area. If you want shopping you'll have to go down toward the Wyomissing or Reading area. But Cabela's is only about 10 minutes away. That's a big deal for the area.

Shoemakersville a.k.a. Shoey is much better than most of the surrounding areas. I wouldn't recommend moving to Hamburg, but the suburbs are nice. Windsor Castle has really nice homes and it's more in the country. I think Shoey is a great bet. I hope that helps.

Default Wanting to move to Sinking Spring area

Hi everyone. This is my first time to use this. I am trying to talk my husband into moving to the Sinking Spring, PA area; we currently live in Houston, TX and I hate it! Nine months of summer is just too much. We want to be somewhere with a good school district, I hear Wilson schools are good.
Can anyone give me info on the area. Looking online, the housing is a lot more expensive, but it would be worth it for the climate change!
Thanks!

Shoemakersville is a great place to grow and play for children. Baseball and scouts keeps the town close as well the pool, park and school. It is a great place to live!
