So I just got a letter in the mail today offering me a scholarship to go to Valley Forge Military College, did not expect this at all but now I'd like to learn a bit about the town that is resides in.

I wasn't sure which section I should have posted this in so I chose here.

Any information on Wayne and the surrounding area would be nice.

Ex: Crime, scenery, restaurants, shops, is it a town or city feel, population... etc.

Also any information on the college itself would be very helpful.

Lol, look up Philadelphia Main Line and you will get an idea of what you are dealing with. Wayne is one of the nicest areas to live in in Pennsylvania, if not the country. This is an extremely affluent area, which is generally a positive but can mean the cost of living is high compared to many other parts of the country.

Crime has to be near zero.

Scenery is mostly suburban but you are a short drive away from Valley Forge National Park and a short train ride away from downtown Philly.

Plenty of restaurants in the area. The main line offers a little of everything you could ever want. Population of Wayne is probably around 25,000. Tough to tell because "Wayne" is used to describe an area over three townships (Tredyffrin, Radnor and Upper Merion). Here is some more info:

cadets often walk to Wayne which has a town/suburb atmosphere. everything from a movie theater to pizza shops, ice cream, etc. they provide a shuttle to KoP should you be a mall type guy but Wayne's a nice enough town in my book you don't need to go to the mall (especially considering you won't be buying clothes!).

Links to the VFMAC website and a pretty comprehensive article about the school are below. Just to be sure...are you aware that VFMAC is a two-year junior college?

+1 it's a super nice area. Like the man said, probably one of the best places in the country for a person to live.
