In my personal opinion, you would be much happier with the schools in Gulf Breeze. Gulf Breeze is in Santa Rosa County and the school system there is significantly better than Escambia County, where Pensacola is located.

Default Not really

We moved here from New Hampshire about 2.5 years ago. Started out in Escambia County and quickly moved to Santa Rosa.. there is more money in this county and the schools are excellent, Grade A. I dont think there is a single one in Pensacola that Compares.

Hope that helps

I have went to both Gulf Breeze and Pensacola schools. An I have to say that Gulf Breeze has lots better schools. I'm not saying anything about Pensacola having bad schools. The schools in Gulf Breeze is a little harder. I love Gulf Breeze it is a very nice to live. I live on the north side of Pensacola I love but there is lots of people. Everything is on the north side of town. But Gulf Breeze is nicer place.
The reason I moved out of Breeze is to be closer to work. But I want to move back before my son goes to school. I hope this helps.

I know it's been over a year since this reply but if the Gulf Breeze schools let those kids walk out of there speaking with this person's grammar skills then I would really look further into the school systems.

Escambia County is one of the poorest county's in Florida. My kids are in this school system and although there are some great schools here, I would go to private. The whole state of Florida's education system is powered by the all mighty dollar and the teachers are judged by how well their students do on the FCAT in the Spring. Depending on what grade the school gets, that is how much money it receives. Escambia County is poor because this is where the poor to middle class live and unfortunately, poverty in Escambia County weighs on the schools ability to do well. Santa Rosa County schools do better because these cities such as Pace and Gulf Breeze are home to the wealthiest in Northwest Florida. More money, more volunteers, more community support etc.

So yes, I agree with this young lady that Santa Rosa County schools do make better school grades but that is an overall statistic given to the school as a whole. That does not mean the teachers are any better than the teachers in Escambia County. You must do more in depth research than by going by a "grade".

move to P'cola, Pace, Milton, Jay, not Gulf Breeze. It is too crowded here, you wouldn't like it.
