My wife and I want to return to the Panama City Beach area. We used to go there every year in the summer with our kids. Now that we're empty nesters, we want to return (without kids). We've always stayed the Edgewater Beach Villas, and loved it. We don't care about a cool party atmosphere, so I'm kind of at a loss on where to stay. Too many choices. Is the Edgewater still OK, or where do you recommend? Thanks in advance.

Edgewater is still nice, considering it is an older property check for updated pictures and reviews if you are going to use VRBO. To me the best part of the beach is the far East end off of Thomas Drive, Treasure Island or Seychelles. Stay away from the area around Pineapple Willies or the clubs. The far Western end of the beach is OK too, look at the newer condos there.

If you liked Edgewater before you will still like it. Everything is pretty much the same. Obviously, the town side is more quiet and laid back, but there is always something going on in PCB.
