Hello! My husband and I are planning on moving to the panhandle in the next 2-3 years. We are looking for a safe area with plenty of cultural events/activities as well as outdoor activities. We would like to be about 20-30 minutes from the beach. No children, so schools aren't as important... We really just want a fun smaller town with a good local vibe to it. Thanks!!

Hello,
My husband I live here in the panhandle and love it, I think you might like Niceville, we live close to Freeport, not much there, Niceville is not so expensive as the beach towns of Destin, Santa Rosa beach etc, yet you are close to them all, these are the areas I would suggest good luck.
