Thank you, humboldtrat! I did find some site about Lina and John. I do not think that LIna and John are Jewish.

Thanks, again!

Default Lina Dortinusdatter Goldberg

Hi Norwegian. I just happened upon your post about your aunt and had to reply. I hope you are still checking this site. I am Lina Dortinusdatter (or according to the NY passenger list, Lina Dortinsotter) (in Colorado, Lena Goldberg)'s great grandaughter. George Marvin Gulberg (long story as to name change), the youngest son of John and Lena Goldberg was my grandfather. He passed away in 1996. I have some random information that may be helpful to you as well as living relatives, etc. Let me know if you are still interested in getting in touch.

Also, Lena is buried in Central City Cemetary. I've been told that John is buried in Sweden. They were not Jewish. They just adopted a Jewish name. As the story goes the name went through many changes over the decades (Gullberg, Guldberg, Goldberg, Gulberg). The Goldberg spelling came about because of the constant misspellings. My grandfather changed it back but evidently did not include one of the l's.

I recently visited the Cemetery @ Central City and Lena's grave is one I took a photo of. Someone has left a single pink rose there. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3629/...0e77338e07.jpg
