I was born on 6/11/53 in Seattle (Doctor's Hospital), along with my twin brother who is now deceased. I know my mother was a nursing student in Pullman, Washington or Moscow, Idaho, but went to Seattle for her pregnancy and the birth. She worked for a doctor there.
Also, I have no last names or first names. Adoption happened through an attorney, who is now deceased. Files are sealed. I am alone now and would love to know if I have a family out there somewhere. My biological parents weren't married. They were both in school. I don't know what happened after my biological mother gave birth to me and my brother.
I hope you are able to find someone. Were you adopted ? If so, do they have any info ? Is there anyway you can legally get the records unsealed ? I wish I knew how to help.
I was adopted and my adopted parents are both deceased. I've had ovarian cancer and wondered if it was in my family. Also, I wonder about my heritage, etc., etc. The adoption took place through an attorney who is also deceased. In Washington State, the records are sealed. I've thought about hiring an intermediary, but haven't gone that route yet. It takes a long time, it costs a lot of money, and I may not find out anything. So I am not sure what to do other than hope someone someday reads my search listings and something rings a bell.
Annie, yes he was adopted by the same family. Everyone thought my birth money was carrying a boy because she was so big and carrying so low, but twins came out and my adoptive parents took us both. He died a year later (hemophilia).
Lori, did you ever find what you were looking for? I helped an Adoptee find his birthparents simply by reseaching the state laws and writting a letter, we found that the state in which he was born the adoptee has legal right after age 21 to unseal the records. we composed a letter sent it notarized and certified to ensure we would not have to start over, within 2 -3 weeks we found the birth mom even though the father wasn't listed we were able to crack that as well. here is the WA law on that make sure you refer to the RCW in your letter; Who May Access Information
