Man!! You Know I Just Thought. She Would Have To Be About 73 Years Old. You'd Think She Would Want To Find Ya'll. I Would Think That, But I'm Not Her. Glad You Found His Step Sister. Maybe She Will Have Answers She Doesn't Even Know She Has.
In A Couple Of Years The 1940 Census Will Be Online. If She Is Still Alive, Maybe More Answers.
I See That Your Posts Are Generating Alot Of Other Post. That Is Good. Keeping It Out In Front.
I'll Keep Looking And Thinking.

Yes, We Were First Placed In The State Custody. We Were Then Placed With A Foster Family. I Was Adopted At Age 16. My Brothers Stayed With Me Until Billy's Arm Got Broken. He Was 9 And Mike Was 11. They Were Raised By The One Family Until Adulthood. They Were Good People. The Family That Adopted Me, Not So Good. My Records Are Sealed. Their's Aren't. Thanks

There is some law you are an adult now ... you can go through the department of child and family services .. in that state .. and request that your records be open.
I know if you look up the web site .. you should find a link ..
hey see there is something I know a little about ... If ya want I can try to find out through the state and see what I can find out??? Not sure what strings I can pull.

Adoption Registry
What is the Louisiana Adoption Registry?
Who may register?
How do I get on the registry?
Where do I write?
What is the Louisiana Adoption Registry?
The Louisiana Adoption Registry is a registry established by the Department of Social Services to facilitate voluntary contact between adult adoptees, their birth parents and/or siblings.
Who may register?
You may register if you are over 18 and your adoption, your child’s or your sibling’s adoption was legally finalized in the State of Louisiana.
How do I get on the registry?
Contact the registry at (225) 342-9922 or 1-800-259-2456 and request a Voluntary Registry packet which will provide all the information necessary for registration. The process includes completion of an affidavit and a $25.00 fee. There is also a counseling requirement that must be met prior to voluntary release of any identifying information, but this is not required in order to register.
Where do I write?
Should you prefer to write us, send your letter to: The Louisiana Voluntary
Adoption Registry
Post Office Box 3318
Baton Rouge, LA 70821
And indicate whether you are an adoptee, birth parent or sibling and include your name, mailing address, and phone number. We will send you a registry packet or call you if we have questions.
If you have further questions, you may call the Registry at (225)-342-9922 or 1-800-259-2456.
