Hi, I've got cousins out there somewhere that were given up for adoption. My Aunt whom I adored evidently was a little boy crazy when she was younger and had a set of twins which she gave up for adoption. I don't know when they were born. the only thing I know is my aunts name. I've often wondered if those cousins were looking for their birth mom. Is there any way to find out? My aunt and her husband have been gone for about 10yrs.

You may think about posting here, your aunts maiden name and town where the twins were born in case they are looking for info on her. It's a long shot and kinda personal, but a start. There are also genealogy forums you may post on.

I don't really want to post any identifying info here. I'm just looking for suggestions for links or ideas in case those children.. (lol.. they'd be in their 60's by now) were looking for her.
I have searched geneology forums for that name. It was my moms maiden name too, but I've come to the conclusion that my family just appeared out of thin air one day. I can't find any information on them at all.

Announce that you've won the Lottery. You'll have cousins coming out of the woodwork.

Seriously, try a Private Investigator. Might cost you a few bucks, but they have access to information you never will.

Lauriedeee, I sincerely appreciate your concern for the privacy for that family. Too many posters do not think about that, and the possible consequences.

Maybe they prefer not to be found?

I think maybe some of you misunderstood my post. I'm not looking to find them. I'm looking for suggestions for a way to find out if they are looking to be found.
did that make sense? I haven't had coffee yet.

Since you don't know their names and only have the Aunt maiden name. Do you have the state where this could of taken place? There must be some adoption records for them. If you go to a site called Cyndi's List Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the Internet There you can find all kinds of links. It gives information about Adoptions or if you know the state you can look up all kinds of links there. Good luck with your search. Lou
