I'm looking for my father.

The last time we spoke he was living in Chicago around Foster and Broadway. This was appox 12 years ago.

His birth-date is 10/10/54 and would have have one son (me) John Ager.

I've searched death records and it appears he's still alive. I have reason to believe he is receiving medical aid from the state as I heard he was in a car accident and could be in a state run facility. Last I knew he was unemployed due to this accident.

Can anyone help me out with a search.

An old address record comes up as:

Richard J Ager, 10 Oct 1954
941 W Lawrence Ave
Chicago, IL 60640-4214

Reverse-searching the address, it's a church. Perhaps they can help you. They might have a care facility, or an apartment rental, or allow the homeless to use the address for mail. Worth trying, anyway.

Christ Pentecostal International Church
941 W Lawrence Ave
Chicago, IL 60640-4214
(773) 275-5288

Peoples Church Of Chicago
941 W Lawrence Ave
Chicago, IL 60640-4214
(773) 784-6633

Rest
941 W Lawrence Ave
Chicago, IL 60640-4214
(773) 784-0909

If that doesn't pan out, you can send word to him through the Social Security Administration.

HCG - Thanks for the help. I'm going to call them first thing this morning and see if there is any info available.

I called the church and it turns out they do have apartments and a shelter but won't give me any info on the people "in their program". I'm heading down there after work as it's only a few miles away.

Thanks again for the info.

You're welcome. Good luck. Take a picture of your father with you, if you have one. While the church admin can't devulge info, the other residents can. Ask everyone.

HCG - Unfortunate this turned up nothing. I went down to the shelter / church four separate days and no one recognized him or could remember anyone named Richard.

Is there any other addresses listed?

Thanks again
J

I'm sorry you didn't find him. That was the only address I found, but maybe one of the other searchers will find something.

If he is in a care facility or disabled in any way, Social Security has an address where they are sending his benefits. I suggest you check out the link in the second post. Other than that, you might want to consider contacting a private investigator.
