I am looking for the family of Maj. Harry Ravenna who served and was killed in Vietnam. He was from San Antonio, TX. I have had a MIA/POW
bracelet since the early 70's with his name on it.

Harry Manuel Ravenna III.
He wasn't married and didn't have children. His only sibling Stephen Harry Ravenna died 2 days after birth in 1935. His father Harry Manuel Ravenna Jr. died in 1983. Mother Imogene Frances (Stephens) Ravenna died in 1987.

Shall I look for living distant cousins, or would you like end the search?

Harry III is in the U.S. Veterans Gravesite directory as being buried at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209. Section MA Site 46.

If you live in the area, perhaps you could leave the bracelet on his grave.

Maj. Harry Ravenna was my uncle!!!! OMG!!! Bless you and thank you for honoring him. We have been trying to get his remains back for over 20 years now. BLESS YOU AGAIN!!!!

He is NOT buuried there... his remains are still in Viet Nam... China wants us to give them $150,000 to send his remains to us... they have sent us A lone dog tag and that is the only proof we have of his remains, not other verification...

OFG, unless the procedure has changed within the past 12 hours, and "China" is asking for money to return your uncles remains, you are being scammed. It doesn't work that way. It is government to government and families are not involved until a DNA is requested by our recovery/identification group in Hawaii. And once a set of remains are returned it may take years to finally I.D. them and match them with family.

So, if someone is contacting you and/or family asking for money, get all possible information from them and contact the F.B.I. This particular type of scam is taken super seriously.

Please let us, who post here at C-D Forum, know your latest experience/contact on the situation.
