Hi Folks,
just joined the site.I'm over the pond in St Andrews Scotland.
I'm researching an author David Lampe who died on the 23rd November 2003
Austin, Travis, Texas.

David Lampe was born in Maryland, USA 26th December 1923. He served with the USAF in Europe during the Second World War until being discharged in 1952. After the war he lived in Britain, working as a freelance writer.
That's all i have on him, I'm including him in a book I'm writing and would really like to find out more about the 'man' and his life and if any relatives/family are still living in the area....i know its a long shot, but it would be great to get as much information as possible. So, if any of you good folks know of/heard of.or? Please point me in the right direction.........Many thanks for reading my request.

kind regards,

Dave Blair

There are a couple Lampe's living within a few miles of Pflugerviile.
I'll send them to you. Maybe one of them is related, and they may be able to give you some new clues.
Good luck.

David's parents were Hattie and David.
They had two kids. David in 1923 and L. John Lampe in 1928.

Have you tried to locate David's brother L. John?

He's only age 84, and may very well be alive and well, and able to be found and contacted.
