This is a long shot - but I found a genealogy book on the Findley family published in 1967 --- in it there is at the end of 1 line:

2. Brenda Marie Reid, b. Aug. 4, 1957
he would have been 11 at the time -- no idea if the right person but close in age and birthday - - - -
