Prolog: I´m born in April 1970, so my dad must be spring/summer 1969 in Germany, near the city Bayreuth. I guess he was stationed in Bindlach. All datas i can present come from documents of german authorities.

I´m happy that a very kind person sent me the tip of this forum and i will thank everybody for his/her commitment. Its really sad that searching a person is so difficult in the US.

I found him with that birthdate in old address records and then reverse-searched that address, which revealed his full name is Daniel James Taylor, along with these relatives and a company, as well as places lived.

Then found their website, which has another phone number.

I don't know if he is the the right one, though. He looks young- might be the son, but it's interesting that he has an interest in the German language


If I were you, I'd call and say you are searching for a relative named Daniel Taylor, born 6/30/1948 who was stationed in Germany in the late 1960's. That way, the sons will probably put you in touch with the father, and you avoid telling the sons that you are also his son. He may not have told his family about you, so it's best to proceed carefully and not shock anyone.
