I'm seek to find the heirs of my Mother's grandfather's brother... His name was Hagop Garabedian or Hakop Karapetian, his brother's (my Mum's grandfather) name was Soghomon (later he had changed his last name to Kirakosyan), their Father's name was Barsegh... Hakob was born in Van (Turkey), and had to leave for the USA after 1915 Armenian genocide.
Any information would be very appreciated.
If my generation won't manage to find them, we'll lost our roots forever...

Going to post some info here. There seems to be more than one potential birthdate.
Name: Hagop Garabedian
Arrival Date: 2 Nov 1920
Birth Year: abt 1900
Birth Location: Turkey
Birth Location Other: kessaria
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Ethnicity/Race*/Nationality: Armenian

or

Name: Hagop Arthur Garabedian
[Hagop Garabedian]
Birth Date: 15 Nov 1900
State: Michigan
Locality, Court: Detroit, District Court

or

Name: Hagop Ozoun Garabedian
Birth Date: 27 Mar 1903
State: Michigan
Locality, Court: Detroit, District Court

If you can narrow the field? They do all seem to end up in Michigan.

Oh, thanks a lot for the information and for the care!
As far as I know he was born before 1890s.
And the thing is that I don't know how to find and get contacts with his grandchildren or grand-grand children.
Is there any institution in the USA that I can refer to?
Please, it's very important!

Hagop Garabedian seems to be a rather common name. Unless we can pin down a more specific date of birth, or a more specific place of birth, I think it's going to be rather difficult. There are several coming to the US born in the 1880s, different birthdates and towns of birth.

I very appreciate your efforts to help me. It gives me a hope, thank you.
I have heard that he was born before 1885 (don't know exactly) in Van and in 1915 was forced to leave his motherland.
