I was informed that two, or more, people, were discussing the Midway Drive-In on the Junction City High School Facebook page, in recent days. Try that.
Those were the only two Cecil Johnsons who live (or at one time lived) in Kansas.
Not sure how recent the details were.

Midway Drive-in Theatre in Junction City, KS - Cinema Treasures
The Midway was owned in 1956 by Warren L. Weber.
You might find some relatives of his still living there.
There are 3 Webers living in Junction City if you wanted to send them a letter.
----------------------
The Midway Drive-In was operated by Commonwealth Theatres.
Maybe you can find a former employee of Commonwealth Theatres, who has access to old records.

That sounds like a good idea.
Have you been able to get your own birth certificate. If there was an adoption the biological Father should have had to sign. If no adoption, there should be two names on the BC.
The Geary County vital records office may be able to tell you who can get the BC, and how.

I just found a Warren L. Weber, in his late 60s in Herington and Junction City. This could be him or his son? Herington is about 30-40 minutes from Junction City.
Found a Warren Weber in Herington over at AnyWho.com

There are 3 Webers currently living in Geary County in addition to Warren L. who was given by Brian.
Maybe a stamp and envelope to each one gets you some luck in this difficult search.
If he is in his late 60's (say 67-69) he was born in 1943-1945.
It would have to be the son, of the Warren L. Weber that owned the Midway in 1956.
Do you know the precise years that your Father would have attended JC High School?
I think, you have a range of years such as 1963-1967, etc?
If you acquire all of the yearbooks for those years, you'll have all males named John, or Jonathan, or Johnny, and their last names. Then a more standard search can be done using last names.
Your Father could live in JC right now. Who knows.
I'd make a list of all the people, or groups of people, that 100% know his last name, and attack that list.
Your Mother may be on top of this list of persons who know.
And attack means concentrate efforts.
So, your BC only shows one name?
Have you contacted the hospital where you were born, and tried to see what records they have?
Around 1965 was 47 years ago. Persons aged 16-25 who lived in JC and frequented the Midway would all be ages 63-72 . Many hundreds of them are still alive and well.

Gut feeling he is deceased, and another route, seem to be minor excuses.
Don't throw away possibilities.

Write letters to the 3 Weber's who live in Geary County.
If you want the addresses, let me know.
They do not come from a free website either. They come from an accurate source.

I think you have had limited success with the mid 60's yearbooks.
Someone told me that schools will have old enrollment records.
If you are near J.C. or travel there from time to time, a visit to the school might be worth a try.
They do have privacy policies but all you need is a name. They might be willing to help you.
Also, a public library in Illinois had copies of the local high school yearbooks.
Give a call to the J.C. library and the school where your Father may have attended, and see if they have the year books. You'd need to visit them in person to look for all the John's since the last name is unknown. Good luck.
