Hello, as you can see I'm new here and trying to find any information regarding my fathers side of the family.
This is what I have found to date:
My Father: Thomas J. Jurjevic born Sept 22, 1923 D 11/26/1986
Uncle: John Jurjevic born April 01, 1912 D Jan. 1994
Aunt: Ana Jurjevic lived in Texas in the 70's
Aunt: Helena/Helen Jurjevic married Paul Hansen......
Aunt: Lena/Lee Jurjevic married Pete/Peter unknown last name.......
Grandfather J... Jurjevic was told John but could be Josef
Grandmother J or G Jurjevic was told Jennie but also Genevieve
Most lived in Bronx, NY

Cousin Nikola Jurjevic not sure how the 1st name is spelled as I called him Nick when I was a child. He was around my fathers age I think.

The spellings of names are the best to my knowledge.
Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone helping you so far?

I find a Nick Jurjevic who died in New York in 1969.

The Aunts and Uncles, named above, would have been siblings of your Father?
So, your Father had 3 sisters and 1 brother, that you know of?

Helana and Lena married into new names, you know already.

All of them were born, in and around, the same time your Father was born(1923).

If you assume, for the sake of hoping for survivors, that some of your Father's siblings were born as much as 10 years after he did, that would be 1933. Any born up to 10 years after your Father, would be at least age 79 (2012 -1933).
So, even if they were born after your Father they are at least 79 years old and most likely all those named in your title are deceased. I hope some are still alive.

At best, on your Father's side, based on what you have given, there may be kids and grandkids of all your Father's siblings. The kids would be your cousins, and their kids would be more distant from you, blood wise.

What information are you wanting about all those on your Father's side?
The deceased may have photos, dates and locations of birth and death.
The living kids of your Aunts and Uncles are cousins of yours, and may be age 60 or older.

Are you wanting to make contact with the living cousins, or their kids, or working on your family tree?

Jurjevic Surname | Jurjevic Ancestors - AncientFaces.com

Look there and you see a long list. There is a Josef born in 1904. He would have been old enough to be Thomas' Father (birth 1923).
If this is your Grandfather, then I doubt he had many kids before he was age 19. So, that would mean most of your Aunts and Uncles may have been born after your Father. He died in 1972 and obitaury columns may be available and giove more names and locations. Also, you have to consider than some of the deceased may have been taken to their home land of Yugoslavia for burial near their parents or other family members.

On the page preceeding the above, this quote was made about the Jurjevic family:
Jurjevic family history has a rich and >> complex << origin.

There are multiple pages of names, so try to locate a Jennie or Genevieve and others, who "birth dates" fit.

Others on the forum may already pay to use the Archives dot com site.
I can not afford such sites.

As far as your ancestors immigratiing from Yugolslavia, there are members on this forum that can give you immigration records.

You can ask them, or wait until they desire to enter your question.

Got a stamp?

A Katherine Jurjevic's address was:
250 E. 54th St. Unit 14B
New York N.Y. 10022
From 1989 to 2010.
She and a Simun Matesic signed the paperwork.
His name entered the picture on that address in 2008.
In 2009 Katherine's was removed, and Simun's added in 2010.

I'd write to:
Katherine Jurjevic c/o Simun Matesic, explain who you are, and what you are looking for.

Make it easy for them to answer your letter.

Send a stamped self addressed envelope, keep it short and sweet, or they might be overcome by the amount and just ignore it.

I'd say, you might be related to Katherine and not ask much more than that, in the first letter.
Maybe she is deceased and Simun can tell you that.
Her name was still associated with that address as of late 2010.

Her age appears to be 55. If you want to be aggessive, just ask her if she knew any of your relatives back in the 1970-1980-1990's.
She might not be related to you, but she might know things you do not know.
