My grandmother was born in Edinburgh area about 1894. I believe in Leith. Her name was Mary Dickson and she went to Canada. She was in her teens when she left Scotland by herself. She had a brother who was married at the Grange in Peebleshire about 1904-1910. She also had a sister whose married name was Templeton and a nephew named Arthur Templeton. I believe the sisters name was Margret? Any information anybody has would be greatly appreciated.

The best place to start your online genealogy is worldgenweb.org

You'll want to start with The BritishIslesGenWeb Project and then Canada GenWeb Project - Projet GenWeb du Canada
