Looking for Child of Laura Virginia Briggs b. abt 1944-49 given up for adoption (Washington, person)

My Aunt, Laura Virginia Briggs (L.V.), lived with my parents, Edith and Stanley Rollins, in Washington D.C. while unmarried and pregnant, abt 1944-49. She gave this child up for adoption. I am not positive, but think this child was a female, born with red hair. If anyone has any information that can help me find this person, I would greatly appreciate it.
