I have been able to determine that my paternal grandfather (William Edward Glover) was likely to have been born in or around the Cassopolis, Cass County, Michigan area in September 1890. In later life my grandfather went by the name of Ed, so it is quite possible that his father's name was also William Edward Glover.

I am aware that my gradfather was orphaned at a young age (likley before age 10) and was possibly raised by relatives in the area. Eventually it is thought that he ended up in New Jersey with his maternal grandparents ( the Ackert's), but we are not sure if this is correct information.

I am fairly confident of the brith info as Cassopolis, MI this is the birth information listed on grandfather's World War I draft registration card. At dischage from the army he has raised to the rank of Sgt. grandfather was married several times; eventually married to Helen Powell (born Alpine, Benton County, Oregon) around 1925 or 1926. My father (William Edward Glover, Jr.) was born in Morris, IL in November 1927.

Any information even just the slightest threads would be useful in my quest!

Thanks,

Ned Glover
