Lugenia divorced Raymond in 1982 and supposedly married Michael M. Hamner and had a daughter name Shannon. Shannon was born in 1965. She was at least age 17 before Lugenia became her mother.
Above you said both those names are correct.
Does that mean that Michael M. Hamner is correct also?
There is one by that name, alive and well, in the San Diego area.
If Lugenia did not tell Michael and Shannon about Raymond, and she never told her next 1+ husbands then none of them know anything. Even if they know something they may not want to tell you anything.
Raymond married and divorced 4 times in the span of 10 years, the last one being 1982. All those ex-wives are surely re-married. If he had any kids with these marriages, the divorces happened so soon, the kids never got to be old enough to know who their father was.
(married Rosemary Beavers and divorced 1972..?..)
(married Diana K. and divorced in 1973..?..)
married and divorced Deborah Silverman in 1979..?..)
(married and divorced Lugenia and divorced 1982..?..)
He appears to have married and divorced 4 times before 1982.
Now if there is another wife living on Coos Bay and he
is still married to her then it's his 5th wife, first name not known. (??)
Have you concluded that Forest and Dorothy Berkshire
are not his parents?
By chance, there is a Paul Bishop buried in the same military cemetery as Forest and Dorothy.
Go back to the beginning. He was born Raymond Merrill Berkshire to Betty Lou Huff. Correct?
And he does not know his Father's name, other than Bill?
Or was Bill the name of his Mother's 2nd husband?
I'd start over.
Get a copy of Raymonds birth certificate unless you already have it.
He can get it himself if he is
willing to pay the fee and fill out the forms. You need facts like his parents complete names and complete dates of their birth and locations at time of birth.
Approach a conversation with Raymond this way. Just ask him a simple question:
"Raymond you are not getting any younger you know. Would you like to contact, talk to, meet one of your
old friends or relatives? Well that's very nice that you do. Tell me everything you know about that person and we'll see if we can find them for you."

Who would Robert and Paul Bishop be?
Raymond was age 5 and 8 when they were born?
As far as 6 sets of adopted twins, you should hope that is not true, as many complications exist, without adding in 6 adoptions.
I'd concentrate on the men who's last names have not changed. Too many marriages and divorces in the 1970's and 1980's.
If you can get his birth certificate then the obituarys can be found for his parents.
The Funeral home who handled them can give you the name of who paid for the funeral, and they often keep copies of the guest list, etc.
