I think you might try Military Police Association

When searching this site you can search by keywords like 188 or Taegu - - people listed have contact info and where & when there served. Possibly find others who served at the same time --

Well, there are 2 Alexander Oliveira seen as having been in the Army.
Ages not known.
Maybe that spelling can be your starting point.

Are you sure it is Alex or Alexander.
And not Alexandre, Alexandro, Alexsandro, etc?

I'll send you another website you can look at.
Some people have good luck making contact through such sites, and others have bad luck.

So, you may want to get many opinions.

No one can predict what the results might be.
All decisions and the results will be yours.

well, sorry, but if 5 members give you advice on how to make contact and the one you choose gets you negative results, it's not that members fault. People can only give you opinions.
Even if you knew his full name and address and phone, the contact method is your decision.

Unfortunately, not all relatives (step relatives) from years or decades ago are wanting to be contacted. You can only hope for the best.

Possible last names.......
Oliverera
Allavavare
Allavafare

A Mr. Adam served in the 188th in 1988-1989.
A Mr. Cummings served in the 188th in 1989-1990.
A Mr. Smith served in 1985-1986.
Have you tried contacting them?
