Hi im trying to find my father. In 1987 my mother was stationed in Taegu Korea as a private in the army. She dated a man That was a Miltary Police officer I think apart of the 188th he was stationed there also. But shortly after she dated him they broke up and he was stationed somewhere else. She found out she was pregnant and never told him or tried to contact him. I do not have the correct spelling of his last name but his first name is alexander and his last name sounds like allah-va-rare-row or allah-va-rare-ra. I have a picture of them together when they were dating at Ospan park in Korea. I was wondering how would i find him with out the correct spelling of his last name

There is a website where you upload the photo and billions of photos are searched to try to find a match.
A place where the same photo was seen (magazine, newspaper, website, etc.) Have you tried that?

The photo searcher has never helped me help anyone, but you never know. No harm in trying.
If you know you have the "only" copy of that photo, then the results will be negative. Then again, if other copies of that same photo were posted on someone's website you might get lucky. An example would be a military buff who created his own website and posted photos of his fellow Army mates.

I saw the photo and tried it and out of a couple billion searches the photo was not found to have been duplicated. 1988 is not that old as far as the military. I'd think there would be a 188th unit website or group, where someone who served back then has access to a list of names.
Your Mother won't tell you his last name? Be bold and tell her if she only gave you one gift the rest of your life, it would not be fame or fortune, but the name.

no my mom wont tell me the correct way to spell his last name, its very frustrating that she wont help me. I keep hitting dead ends and it drives me crazy. I just keep thinking if i can find one person that served there in that time in the same unit as him maybe they would of know him or had a picture of every one in there unit together with names or something. I just feel like i keep hitting a brick wall and im not sure how to go about this anymore.
