nj185, I can see what you are saying. My only thought would be that don't scammers still use the SS#'s of dead people for their nefarious deeds ? And, yes, if that is public info, I guess it wouldn't make much difference where it came from. Although, there could be personal info on the dead person, supplied by those in this forum, that could be used in conjunction with the SS # to use for fraud.

Probably it will come down to that it is just the rules of the forum, not to post SS #'s. That is an interesting question that you have posed.

Did a little goggling here:

I think the first step is to find the obit of Antoinette Sheeder. (if she is still alive, talk with her! She was near Reading Pa in 2008. )
Her husband passed away recently, here is the obit:"Donald I. Sheeder, 58 of Douglassville, died February 2nd at 6:57 am in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of Antoinette C. (Machi) Sheeder. Born in Royersford, PA, he was the son of the late Irving and Mary (Thomas) Sheeder. Donald was a retired Truck Driver for the Harvey Marting Trucking Co. of Mohnton. Funeral Services & Interment will be private. Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. has charge of arrangements. Giles and Yeckley Funeral Home : Mohnton, Pennsylvania (PA)
(September 1, 1953 - February 2, 2013) "

Ask the family if there are ANY papers of any sort left behind.

Also, Mary helmick (machi) appears to have gone to Patterson High School 405, Baltimore, MD, 1978-1982. find the year books in the library or check classmates.com. Probably, all the siblings would have gone to the same school if they were full siblings.

Thanks for all the good information! I have searched the SSDI index. Bobby was substantially older than Catherine, so the one born in 67 is out.

I'm sending you a direct message with address and phone number for a relative of Catherine's who may be able to tell you something about the elusive Bobby Bell.
