I am looking for information on my grandmother's family. She had a sister named Ethel (Eckly) Cresson married to James A Cresson. They had 2 children a daughter Joan and a son who they called Bud. His name may be James or could be Stephen. They all lived in San Diego at one time. Both parents died in San Diego, not sure where Joan and Bud are.
This is all the info that I have on any of them. Ethel was my great aunt and we called her Aunt Rusty.
I'm the Joan Cresson in Sun City, AZ, Cresson by marriage. The Cresson family came to the U.S. 1600's originating with Pierre who was a furniture maker. You could follow the line from Philadelphia and New York, There is a quaker branch of Cressons who If I remember included Emlen and Rebecca. Another branch went off to the midwest I don't have any info on them. They, of course, have scattered to the four winds, and I didn't realize there were Cressons in the San Diego Area. I don't have any direct knowledge of the person you are trying to locate.

I have since found the Joan that I was looking for. She was born in San Diego, Her father was a Cresson. He was in the Navy, and thats where he most likely met my aunt, who also was born there, and thats why they were in SD. I believe that he was born in Minnesota.
Thanks for responding.
