I was raised in Union Beach, N J and am looking for 2 friends from back in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The people I'm looking for are Edward Griswold and John "Skippy" Clooney. Both attended St. James High School in Red Bank, NJ and belonged to Boy Scout Troop 56.

Both are in their mid 60s (64-66).

Edward Griswold has 1 older sister and 1 younger sister; I don't remember if he has a middle initial or not nor do I remember his parents name.

John Cooney used to go by the nickname "Skippy". I think he may have had a younger sister but I'm not sure. I don't remember his parents names.

Ed Griswold and John Cooney both belonged to Boy Scout Troop 56 and Explorer Post 56 and, I believe, they both made Eagle Scout.

I don't know their birthdays nor do I remember the street address of where they lived.

Is this a possibility for Edward Griswold?

I think Edward Griswold had thought about becoming a priest but the collage and seminary dates would be about 4 years later.

May not be the correct one. Maybe he did something else for 4 years and that time period is unaccounted for in the article. You might be able to get some information from either of those Griswolds I found in NJ. There are only about 6 Edward Griswolds in their 60's in the US.

I just sent an email to the Diocese of Trenton to see if they have anyone I'm looking for. After I hear from them, I'll start sending out letters. Thanks for your help so far.
