Amazing story and I bet it's not the first time FB has helped people find biological family.

Her brother looks so much like her! He never even knew she existed. What a sweet, touching story.

No Kudzu,

She isn't the first, nor will she be the last to make contact. There were a couple of articles on it when FB was initially flooded with posts similar to the one in the story. The article I read then was one that tried to make it like they were "teenagers" and how dangerous it was, expect all the examples they provided were adults (with the posters in the pictures).

I just find it so shameful that adoptees have to resort to this putting themselves out there for any and all to see on some random chance somebody will make a connection. There is no good reason for laws to still deny adoptees the same right non-adopted have.

Before anyone goes to the flip side, there are millions of adoptees and if adoption is a good thing, and adoptees are just fine and raised by good parents - why assume adoptees are going to go into stalker malicious mode who would take out front page ads in the mother's local paper to "out" her - vs. discreet contact to protect her to ask if she is open to contact. It can't be both ways...
