He lived in Portland in the 1940's, perhaps long before and after. He would be approx. 85-90 today. Might have worked on the police force, unclear. I believe he may have been Jewish, again, not sure. Dated a woman named Helyn Garland, possibly married to her briefly. I would greatly appreciate ANY info. I have had no luck at all on this.
Very exciting lead today. Looks like I have finally found his family. The person I found passed away in 1988 (not a shock, given his age), but the family info is on its way to me. Incredible.
Reply to Alicia: My mother was married to a Lee Applegate in Portland, Oregon about 1940. He had a son, Jimmy, who would be in his sixties or seventies by now. My mother, June, had no children with Lee. He was in the Army during WWII, and they lived in Chicago for a while, then in Seattle. The marriage may have taken place in one of these two cities, if not in Portland. I remember Lee's mother well, and yes, she was Jewish. Hopes this helps. I have had little luck researching his relationship with my mother, but I know he was alive in the ninteen-sixties and working as a deliveryman for Meyer and Frank department store in Portland, and possibly as a security guard there. Hope this helps. Sharon

Thanks. I've DMed her, (twice), and even searched and emailed Sharon Parkers in the Portland, OR area. Patience is not so much my virtue.
Have you tried Facebook ? There are at least 3 that show location of Portland OR
