Hi all, here I go again. Today I found out the name of my biological grandfather. Robert J. Benway and he passed away on 06/30/2011 in Framingham, Mass. His mother's maiden name was Rose Seymour and his father was Francis Benway. I can't find much on him online....I am looking for relatives so I can get to know them. I don't even think they know I exist.

I've contacted a few people with the same last name on Facebook to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't found the family on the 1940 census.

Looks like a genealogist was looking for this family back in 2000.
BENWAY, Alfred F., Hudson, MA, 1874

"Alfred F. BENWAY, born about 1874 in Hudson, Mass. was married to Rosanna BOULEY, also born about 1874 in Hudson. They were married sometime before 1901.

According to the 1920 census, both of Rosanna's parents were born in Canada. Alfred's father (? Benoit) was born in Canada but his mother was born in Massachusetts. This leads me to think that Alfred's parents were married in Massachusetts.

Alfred worked as a policeman for the Town of Hudson.

Does anyone else have information about this family? They had at least 6 children: Francis, Hazel, Adrian, Earl, Joseph & Rita.

Found this Alfred Benway - Ancestry.com

The 3rd Alfred Benway down lists his parents as Francis k and Rose Seymour Benway. It also lists names of likely siblings that correspond to those found by daliowa above. I assume that Kenneth, Steven, David, Ronald and Lisa are the children of Alfred and Elvira.

Kenneth James Benway (age 68) lives in Carthage NC. If this info is correct he would be the nephew of Robert J Benway. Property tax records show him to own property at 8 Martin Way, Carthage NC 28327. A previous address was in Hudson MA.
It appears that he has 2 daughters, Kristen M (Benway) Nestor and Pamela A.

I also found a reference to a Marguerite Elise (Benway ) Hill of Hudson MA, married to Robert R Hill - still looking into this one.
