There is a charity in Germany called 'GI-Kinder' that helps GI children located their fathers in America. It was started by a man who was also the child searching for his American GI Father. If you google 'GI-Kinder' you should be able to find their website address. The site also has some good research tips that any child of a GI might find useful.

Its only been a few days. Did you call at the time of day he might be home or a time he'd get a message and have to return the call? Some men aren't good with returning calls.
Right now in the US it is income tax time, he could be doing stuff with that. Is he able to afford calling you back or do you think he's the type that will wait for you to call him to pay for it?
