Amy said your brother is entered in NamUs but his profile is not viewable by the public. For you to view it, you want to go to NamUs MP, log in, you'll see Welcome to NamUs Missing Persons. Towards the top of the page, you'll see the banner, then home, my dashboard, new case, search etc. Click on my dashboard, it says my cases and my case tracking. Click my cases; you may even be able to get there using my link. You'll see your brothers case listed there in light colored writing. That means it's off line from public viewing.
She said he needs an MP report. Since you're saying TN denied it, we have to try to get one from Chicago. Do you have any relatives that live there still? If not, we're going to need to see what the process is. I'm not sure which PD is close to where he went missing from. I found Chicago PD locations but there are so many. I mapped 2 locations, will paste them in below. Let me know which one is close to where he went missing, I'll see if I can find out if they have a MP unit. Please post back to let me know which PD, we'll take it from there.

I'm not finding a chronological order in my notes. But the Op may have stated above that they and their parent traveled to all of the locations to speak to residents (of what seem to all be multi-family dwellings). I think they reported that one of the original addresses was no longer there.

Some authority could locate the guy in Tenn. His birth certificate would pinpoint, race, name, birth place. I've never heard of authorities being able to ask to see a birth certificate but...........if they are investigating a missing person or possible stolen identity. Maybe.
Or ask to see their s.s. card to try to find out in what state they were issued their social security card.
The police can take a name and search DMV records. There should be some way to link or not link the Tenn. person to Illinois in a significant way other than just Illinois as a possible or previous location.

Agree, something should be done to see if this is identity theft. Let me wake up, I have an idea but I don't know if it will work
At the time he went missing I was only 6 and mom they did try to report him but police told them he was an adult and they they couldn't but since then we have tried to report him they says its to late but I talk to police today and they need me to come in to see if the man in Nashville is living under my brother information because something is not right

There is an AA John Doe that was found electrocuted in Harlem that fits his description. It's actually a case I advocate for but I doubt he's Sharrieff. The John Doe was most likely a marine.
