I am doing research on a bomber crew that was shot down over France on June 22, 1944. All crewmen were killed including my cousin. I would like any information regarding the tail gunner Sgt. Lawrence Lynn listed as being from Hooks, Texas. I would appreciate any help that I can get. Thank you.
Do you have any other information, such as company name? My grandfather was in the Army Air Force during those years and I inherited a lot of his military things (such as books listing companies and commanders), etc...Where did he go to boot camp? I also have a living cousin of my grandfathers who also does genealogy and her brother was shot down over England, although I think it may have been a different year. Maybe she has some of his military stuff she could look through. He also was out of Texas. I know it's a longshot, but sometimes these guys went to bootcamp together or may have run across each other at some point. My grandfather had a couple of photo albums full of pictures of people he was in the military with and thankfully he was great about listing who they were and what their ranks were and where the pictures were taken. I forgot to mention that he also served in France those same years.
If you have any photos, i woudl suggest posting them at WW2inColor.com - World War 2 Pictures in Color because there's a large global audience that can help you with your information. Basically, just post a photo and then someone will comment on it with more information. It's a good way to get your "mysteries" solved.

Those guys are good. They may even have a photo of the plane and crew.
I know this is an old old post but the WIX Brain Trust answered in about 6 hours. I hope the OP gets to see it. Surely has to be up in the years. Someone should find him.

Good for Mr. Beckwith from you and reed303.
You can try sending them a direct message since he has not posted in nearly 7 years.
I am afraid he might have passed. Yes i know it was in 2008. Didn't hurt me a bit. Might help his other relatives out.
The whole crew is deserving of this respect.
