Calumet- in search of a couple in MI (friends, name, member)

I hope that someone can help-
Way back ( ok, I'm old!) in the mid-1970's, I helped a couple move from Kalamazoo to Calumet Michigan in the dead of winter-
They eventually bought a combine and were renting out their services- They were also affiliated with a hospital, as we met one of the doctors and his wife upon arriving in the UP,- the wife went around the table and predicted all of our futures.
I'm trying to find the couple who moved to Calumet.
More on the trip:
There was a lot of snow and we had 5 trucks/cars, with 2 drivers in each car.
It took us 12 hours to get there, as the snow was pilled high on each side of the road. There were only 2 gals on the trip, myself and the girlfriend who was moving to Calumet (Rita ?).
We stopped to visit friends in Boston, MI and I"d love to go back for a visit sometime.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Just remembered,- the man's name was Richard- I'm not sure if his girlfriend's name was Rita, but they were a really cool couple.
I want to touch basis with them about a mutual friend from K-zoo.
