Have you located anyone in the Pelkey family?
I see the death notice of Mrs. Margaret Coulter's half brother and dated 1926. It says that Mrs. Coulter and her daughter and son in law and her nephew left for the funeral of her half brother Isreal Pelkey. We can guess Francis may have been deceased or he and his wife would have attended the funeral.
It names her daughter as Mrs. Walter McClelland. That would have been your grandfather's sister.
