This is a longshot, but I'm going to post it anyway.

I'm looking for a Winnifred Davison, from Southampton, England. I don't even know if she's still alive...if she is, she'd be quite old (mid-80s, at least.) All I know about her is that she married a Canadian soldier named John Hartwell "Jack" Chrysler in March, 1944. He died four months later in the battle of Buron.

I have no idea if she ever remarried, or had children. If she did, I'm hoping one of her descendants might see this and be able to provide some information.

I'm not a long-lost relative or anything. Jack Chrysler's best friend was my grandfather, and I'm trying to recreate their war-time experiences for a book I'm writing. Even if she's long since passed on, I'm hoping there might be photographs or something. I have a letter she wrote to my grandmother, but don't even know what she looked like.

Any help would be appreciated, though like I said, this goes back a way and it's probably unlikely. Still, I thought I'd take a chance. Stranger things have happened.
