My uncle left Albania when he was 16 ( 1962) .Since then i have have only a mail from him in 1963 from New York .I send letter but i don't have any response from him .What can i do to know if my uncle is alive or not ? Would be valuable if any body advice me what to do ? I live in Albania ( Europe ).
Could his first name also be spelled: Naser or Nasir? If so, there are a couple of people with that first name as listed as living in Flushing, NY and Staten Island, NY.
I see that back in February, another poster (PJ45) informed you that your uncle is listed on a website called reunion.com. Have you checked there yet? I think there is a fee to join, but I'm not sure.
I found a phone number and address that I sent through DM.
I would be more then happy to call this number if you are writing from Europe. I have free long distance.
I left a message for him to email me on Reunion.com.
I did it in such a way that he won't have to purchase a membership to read the email address. It does say he lives in New York so it might be necessary to start calling each and every Osmani in the state which I can do. It might be that once he came to the states he changed his first name which is an option for anyone becoming an American citizen or that he is married and everything is now listed in his wifes name.
I also checked that address you gave me and it doesn't appear to be correct. At least not now anyway. That may be how you guys lost touch in the beginning. He accidently wrote the wrong address on the letter and your communications just never got to him.
My mom been lookin for her brother since her dad past away when h was a lil girl that was the last time she seened him his name is mario vargas hes from puerto rico
