In search of birth family, NEED medical history!!!
My birth name is Barbara Jean Dugan, & I was born in 1963. My moms name was Frances Gordon or Frances Dugan. She gave bith in FL but was from the Chicago area. I am in need of my family medical history. I not trying to ruin anyones life. I also have a sister born around 1961. If anyone can PLEASE help me I would be grateful.

Which is maiden which is married
What it says on the adoption decree is Frances Gorgon, also known as francis Dugan. Which is maiden & which is married ? I'm checking out leads.

Thank you so much for the info. This one is a possibility. The adoption decree states her name as Frances Gordon also known as Frances Dugan. Can you figure ou which is maiden & which is married ?

It is impossible to tell which is which. I believe Gordon would be her maiden name and Dugan may be the last name of your father. (A long time ago, people could consider themselves common-law wife/husband). Just to leave no stone unturned, I would contact women with both names and ties to the areas that you know about.
