Yup there may have been an old home or something on this property long before these Apartments were built. Try the register of deeds see how far back you can go on this property. The Local Library should have something on it as well.. maybe try the Genealogy Department they might be able to help.

Keep us Updated..

The Building manager would have the information about who rented that apartment.

What was the name of the apartment building? Do you know if it has changed over the years?

i dont know what was there before in that exact place but i do know that where that building is is only about 100meters from the edge of the creek which has a high tendency to flood to up to our building and that building during times of heavy rain.maybe that might have something to deal with it. i will try to find out about anything that was there before 1976 thanks for the suggestion i will try that. i dont know if it is associated with a particular piece of property but everything but the building it self has been replaced atleast 5 times since 1976

back in the 1970's and 1980's they didnt keep records very well for reasons i dont know. Now they only have records going back to 1996. So the Current Building Manager wouldnt know anything about it they have only been here for like 9 years or so.

Did this area get hit by the tornado in august 1990? (possibly about 4-7 years of age that died in the Plainfield,Indiana area between the years 1976-1995)
Just a thought.

There is a professional geneaology website that some people subscribe to that seems to have an awful lot of information. I don't know much more about it though.

Were there names of people and dates such as day/month of 1885? What town was this in? I might be able to search some old newspapers and see what I can find..but need names and dates if ya have them.. Or you can try the local library (Genealogy Department) they might be able to pull up some old news papers for that time era for ya.
