I remember only his last name Messina, his first name was perhaps Antonino than he dead and he sure had a son. My grandmother's name was Nunziata Messina from Catania Sicily. She married my grandfather whose name was Orrazio (I think that is how you spell it) Spina who also lived in Sicily. They left Sicily a long time ago and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the US. In 1969 my grandmother's nephew, Alphonso was in the navy and came to Philadelphia and we met him at the New York ship yard. Does anyone know of these people? I am visiting in Catania Sicily right now and would love to find my relatives.

My great grandmother was josephine icearco (the spelling may be wrong)but her mother was a messina from palermo sicily italy...she came to the united states around the 1900's at the age of 9 with an aunt that was suppose to bring her back home and never did.
she came here with a brother ,tony
does any of this sound familiar????
I have been trying for years to find our family there..
josephine married giovanni tamburello also from italy but they married here in the united states and had 11 children...

all person lived in Viagrande where born my relatives moved to Lawrence - Massachusetts. The name correct is Orazio. Spina and Messina are frequent surnames in Sicily.
