Former name Tanya Gibson-I used to call her Denise back in the day.

Her mother's name is Carolyn, last I knew her husband's name was Dave, and she had two or three kids, Tommy and Britney for sure but I can't remember the third child, if there was one.

Last I knew she lived in Verona Pennsylvania (outskirts of Pittsburgh)

But long before that, we all grew up in Oakland and/or in the Hill District

I haven't talked to her since 1996, when she called me and told me her brother Gayle (Shon), my best dude bosom friend growing up, had passed.

I wasn't able to get to the funeral, as I had moved to Kentucky and actually didn't find out about his death until the funeral was over, or I'd have been there, to tell him goodbye...

But he was my heart back in the day when we were kids growing up, he was a good friend, true blue, wit a heart of pure gold...I just didn't know how blessed I was to have him in my life and heart at the time...but I'd like to reach out to his family to say "Hey!"

After all these years...I finally know what's important in life.

Tanya's brother is Shon, Shon has a son named Jeremy, who is now 22 yrs old-I am Jeremy's mother.

I moved to Kentucky in November 1996, that was the month and year that Shon passed and...now I live in Austin, Texas.

I haven't talked to Tanya since around that time...
