He was my uncle I never got to meet. I have seen only limited pics and his purple heart. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You probably already have all this information, but it was the only thing I could find on Ancestry.com. He was only 19.

d. 10 Sep 1952, Korea
Killed in Action
Private First Class, U.S. Marine Corps
Service ID 1182882

Private First Class Prendergast was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in Korea on September 10, 1952.

Private First Class Prendergast was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
