I am looking for information on my great uncle who was place in either a mental institution or an orphans home in Nashville in the late 1920s or early 1930s. I don't know where to start. My family doesn't know much about him. His brothers and sisters would not talk about him after he was taken away. Can anyone help or have any ideas.

If you want to share what you know, we can search for him . Do you know his name, birthdate, parents' names, siblings' names?

Default looking for someone

Thank you for your help! All I know is his name was Babe Wright, according to the 1929 census. He would have been 4 1/2 years old, born in meigs county, decatur tn. Parents name were Charles Oscar and Elizabeth Goforth Wright. This is about the extent of my knowledge. I know he was mentally challenged maybe autistic. I don't have any idea where to even start looking. I have tried a little research with no luck.

I spoke with my aunt who told me she knew someone who worked for vital records in Nashville, but could not find anything on Babe. If he can't find anything I don't think I will be able to either.

Sorry, I guess I had emailed you instead of DM. It seems like I found a Babe Wright age 15 in the 1930 census in Nashville. Can't remember if it was a hospital or orphan's home. Let me see if I can find it again.
